Weather still unstable in Aruba

Tropical Storm Omar formed near Aruba

The weather is very active in the Southern Caribbean region. There are several systems going on and there is a particular one we are concerned about. It started as Tropical Depression 15, then Tropical Storm Omar and later perhaps Hurricane Omar.

At this point Tropical Storm Omar is still passing near Aruba/Curacao on its way north-eastward to Puerto Rico. It has brought a lot of rain in the last 24 hours and it’s expected to do the same for the next 24 hours.

Tropical Storm Omar really caught everyone by surprise, as a storm doesn’t form near this island, let alone go to the north-east. Needless to say, it’s still raining way, way above average. Keep that in mind for the coming days.
