For the 16th time Reef Care Project is organized and is scheduled for Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of July 2009. This long standing initiative takes care of the reefs and beaches around the island.

As Aruba has become more visited throughout the years and regional trade has gone up, followed by massive fishing in the Caribbean and cruise ships, nature is suffering as a consequence.

Reef Care Project is a joined initiative of volunteers (divers), officials, tourists and sponsors who care for our nature. Especially where the surf hits hard – on north-eastern part of Aruba – a lot of garbage washes ashore and needs the clean-up.
