Pictures: Construction Alhambra Shopping Bazaar and Casino

The renovation work at Alhambra continues at a blazing fast speed. The whole shopping area structure was razed, leaving only the casino and sandwich shop Subway standing. The parking area has been paved on the southern part. Currently the parking area on the eastern part being constructed.

The casino building is also being renovated right now. The outside is getting a mostly cosmetic work. Needless to say that the inside also needs a renovation badly.  The developer  reiterated that the casino would remain open throughout the whole process.

Things are certainly looking up for the whole development there. The new development, construction and re-construction fits perfectly with the other properties of Divi Resorts, which are also under renovation. In the combination of photos you can see the current progress.

  1. This will be beautiful when it is done. The Casino has needed a makeover for a while. Looking forward to seeing it soon.

    1. Now they are pouring concrete where the shopping bazaar used to be. The parking area almost finished. Indeed this facility was due for a makeover. Thank you for the comment.

    1. Carol from what I understand the work should be completed later this year, before winter. There’s no word about which companies will be returning there. The nearest Dunkin’ is at Tropicana Resort (Ex-Aruban Resort) at Eagle Beach.

    1. Currently they are building the main entrance of the casino on the eastern side. It’s going to feature a small dome-like structure on the roof. Meanwhile, construction of the shopping area, north of the casino, is underway and the walls are up. It’s still months away from completion, however, the contours of the building reveals a more traditional mall-like structure (side by side shops) as opposed to the shops around a centralized plaza of the previous building. I will post images via Twitter soon.

    1. Dunkin Donuts and Subway are back. A Japanese restaurant and grocery store are new. The construction is ongoing but it’s looking good already. Thanks for the comment.

  2. is dunkin donuts open yet???? so popular it would be a major disappointment for surrounding resorts..who wants to get on a bus to go get coffee?? bring it back!! thanks.
