Occidental Grand Aruba received a recognition by ShermansTravel, stating that Occidental Aruba belongs to the Top 10 Best All-Inclusive Beach Resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico.

ShermansTravel noted that this property is an “all-inclusive jewel”, offers a “blissfully cash-free adventure”, a prime accommodation, magnificent beach and the opportunity to “wine, dine and delight”.

The property has had its fair share of criticism when it used to be called Allegro Resort. After a multi-million dollar renovation the resort re-opened as Occidental Grand Aruba and things improved considerably. It is a 350-room resort with casino.

This property has a long history in Aruba. The resort carried the name Americana Hotel at one point and it was one of the most prestigious hotels in Aruba and the Caribbean some say. This iconic resort surely was a trendsetter in its heydays back in the 80s.
