Latest Condo In Aruba: The Cliff
For several months now I’ve been seeing a piece of ground being prepared for some kind of construction. This ground is between Amsterdam Manor hotel and Divi Phoenix timeshare resort. Formerly on this ground there was a shopping area amongst others, which was a huge failure. Perhaps the setup itself, or maybe the location wasn’t the best, fact is it wasn’t a success.
When the clean-up was wrapped up and the surface was flattened, a wall around the premises was build. Now that construction is ready to start soon, the developer has put up a board with little (sales) information. I’ll take a shot of it soon. The construction for the next condominium project is ready to start soon: The Cliff Beachfront Condominium. There’s a website available in flash with a presentation: www.thecliffaruba.com. I’ve seen the online presentation and must say that the artist rendering of the project seems very slick, as do most. I took a couple of screen shots of the presentation.
Update: This project has been canceled, for undisclosed reasons. It might be either disappointing sales, stiff competition and/or the economy.

Lisa, today I drove by again and saw a new piece on the board that says “Pre-Construction Prices”, without the actual prices. I guess it will be published soon. Judging from what the competition is doing, perhaps the prices would start from $300,000.
