To this day only American Airlines has announced cuts in its schedule from New York City to Aruba. The mid-week flights will be discontinued starting later this year. This represents a significant reduction in capacity from the Big Apple to Aruba. If the law of economics in supply and demand moves its regular course, expect to see a hike in fares for mid-week flights.
In the weekends however, option are in abundance from New York to Aruba. US Airways, Delta, American and JetBlue send a bunch of airplanes to Aruba. Additionally Continental flies from nearby Newark International. Despite this wealth of seat capacity expect to see some fare hikes in the coming times.
Always be on the lookout for hot deals. JetBlue recently announced hot deals from and too many cities across the board. Among those hot deals there was also an awesome deal from New York to Aruba: $169 each way, excluding taxes and fees. You have to react fast because it is a short promotion.
