No major system in the vicinity of Aruba
Man o man, it poured today for the better part of the day. It started with a local storm in the early hours of the morning. At morning rush hour it was dry again and I thought it was going to remain dry for the remainder of the day. Was I wrong. Around 9:30 AM it started to rain again, on and off throughout the day. The sun didn’t make much of an appearance. It must have poured at least an inch today.
Of course after the rain I hear the same old comments again: “I thought it never rains in Aruba”. My same old response: “on average it rains about 16 inches a year, most part at the end of the year”. People here must stop advertising that ‘it never rains’. ‘It doesn’t rain often’ doesn’t sound good, but it’s more accurate.
It is expected to be wet tomorrow because of a tropical wave in the vicinity of Aruba. Meanwhile Tropical Storm Marco formed in the just east of Mexico and forms no treat to Aruba. In the eastern Atlantic there’s another system forming, but that one way too early to call.
