Thank you for the comment. Indeed it was a beautiful ship. I had the honor to tour it once when is was docked in Aruba. I liked the atmosphere and the staff was gracious to me. The last I heard that is was sold and moved to Portugal. I have no idea what has happened to it.

Hi there Sandy, there is no shuttle from the airport to CPV. The only two least expensive options are taking a taxi or renting a car. If you take a taxi you can use public transportation throughout the week, it's the cheapest. This is not the most ideal option in my opinion. Renting a car is a serious option you should consider as there are many 3-day or week special for renting. If you feel comfortable driving in foreign places, than this is the way to go. Remember, no right turn on red. Thanks for your comment.

My husband and I will be arriving in Aruba on April 17 and staying at the Carribean Palm Village for 7 days. Do you know if there is a shuttle from the airport to that particular timeshare, or would we be better off renting a car for a few days. Which option would be the least expensive?

Thanks for your comments, Gabriel.
Rome is not a convenient airport for us (we usually fly out of Milan or Bologna), and I couldn't find any connecting nonstop flights between Caracas and Aruba (most seemed to go through Bogota).
We'll see how the KLM + Martinair combination works out this next trip. Just 15 more days to our departure -- we can't wait, we really need our Aruba time after such a rigid winter!

It's been my pleasure answering all your questions. Don't worry about it. A foot of snow is quite something, so I suggest you don't even start thinking about it now. In terms of carnival activities, the last major one is this Sunday, February 14 on Valentines Day: Aruba Grand Parade. Monday there is a little activity and on Wednesday too. Tuesday you will be fine.
