Seagull at Arashi
Seagull on a clear and crisp day

I have written about the weather on this site more than I thought I would. Most of the time it had to do with rain, rather, the excess of rain.

This island is supposed to be bone dry right now. There’s been some rain last year, but it seems be getting dryer. At least this week it’s dry, clear and crisp.

Above picture was taken at Arashi Beach, with the sky perfectly. In the image there is a gull – more popularly seagull – passing in the shot.

Hello – I leave for Aruba May 6th and I am sad to see that the forecast says rain. Is it truely raining consistantly down there? :(

Hi there Kristin, I also notice that the forecasts most of the time will show rain, but it isn’t necessarily accurate. I’m currently looking outside and the sun is shining and it’s hot. Aruba tends to have passing clouds and sometimes it brings some rain. The last few weeks it has been very dry and it rained sporadically, mostly at night time for a few minutes. Don’t worry too much with the forecast. Having said that I must admit that since last September/October to January/March it was wetter than normal, but it seem to have stabilize. If you have additional questions don’t hesitate to contact me.

Today for example the clouds threatened early in the morning, but it never rained. The sun shined pretty much throughout the day. Enjoy your vacation Kristen.
