Caribbean and Aruba Still Affordable

New York Times’ Summer in the Caribbean
Airlines are restructuring (cutting flights), airfares are on the rise and fuel surcharge it through the roof but still there are great deals to be found out there. According to New York Times many resorts on the Caribbean islands are slashing prices this time of year. Your favorite island’s sure on the list. The link to the list is at the end.
After the dust settles, when the airlines finally finish their restructuring, we’ll know for sure how much a round-trip to the Caribbean is going to cost. As mentioned before, don’t expect the fares to be ‘passenger-friendly’. Let’s take a snapshot of this period of time and compare it with a later moment in time. As of today, a round-trip ticket (full fare) with American Airlines, Miami – Aruba, costs $831.40 (+ taxes).
New York Times’ article mentions several hot deals. The only thing I can tell is that I concur. Enjoy:
- CheapTickets.com offers a package of $1,345 at Hyatt Regency Aruba in July from New York.
- FunJet Vacations offers three-night trips, including airfare, starting at $650 per person from New York.
- Awesome Radisson Aruba Resort is having a summer special with prices started at $275 per night.
- Aruba Marriott Resort has specials starting $269 per night, when filling the coupon code: S29.
