Boca Grandi could be dubbed a ‘hidden beach’ due to its remote location. It is not difficult to locate however. In fact, it is located close to one or Aruba’s most popular beaches, namely Baby Beach.
At a certain point when you’ve almost arrived at Baby Beach there will be a large red anchor (tribute to all sailors) where you turn right following the road. To get to Boca Grandi, instead turn to the left. Drive a minute ahead, followed by a turn to the right and you have arrived. Typically there are many kite-surfers on the scene.
Boca Grandi means literally ‘Big Mouth’ or ‘Large Mouth’ which refers to the wide, half circle shape.
