Earlier in the week Aruba Marriott send out a press release with news that the $50 million renovation has concluded. According to Marriott, the almost two decade old structure, received a complete metamorphoses.

The changes I personally noticed and personally saw were the lobby, restaurants, rooms, general spaces and parking terrain. With this renovation Marriott became a smoke free resort. Smoking is allowed only in the casino or balconies.

Marriott was very forthcoming with information during the duration of the construction efforts. Many resorts don’t mention when there’s construction ongoing, fearing they might lose business. Marriott even set up a website: Aruba Playground. Kudos Marriott.
