Aruba Cruise Ship Season Rebounds
According to Aruba’s Cruise Tourism Authority (CTA) the 2008 cruise ship season is turning out to be decent one after all. After preliminary estimates by the CTA, this season has brought more people to Aruba per ship than anticipated.
With the presentation of pre-season expectation for 2008 the CTA was much more careful with the numbers. Especially in the wake of the departure of this islands biggest client cruise line Carnival Cruises. The CTA is moderately optimistic for the coming season, due to the world wide economic uncertainty.
Meanwhile this cruise ship season is winding down, as summer approaches cruise lines reroute their ships to the Mediterranean and Alaska. Only Royal Caribbean’s Adventure Of The Seas (AOS) will remain loyal to Aruba by visiting every Tuesday. During the height of summer the ship will visit every other week. In midsummer AOS will be going to dock for its annual maintenance.
