Aruba Beaches Back To Normal

Eagle Beach Week After Omar
Natural litter (seaweed) near Eagle Beach coral formations

After having dealt with a few weeks of very volatile weather it is truly refreshing to have the weather back to normal. After the precipitations of the last weeks the weather is sunny and dry again. Our visitors are once again happy.

The beaches on the other hand still need some work. The beaches which eroded received a patch but the vast amounts of seaweed that remained around still needs to be taken care off. Above picture shows a part by Eagle Beach with dead seaweed on the coral formations. At this location it’s too difficult to clean up.
Something I’ve noticed this week is that the water isn’t quite back to its regular levels of cleanliness. When a storm passes through it can ruin up to 70% of marine life, such as coral formations as it happened to our neighboring island Curacao according to some reports. The waters surrounding Aruba are normally crystal clear but now not so much. I think the sea needs some time to clear itself back to normal levels.
