Aruba Airport Upgrades

I recently traveled abroad and had a chance to pass through Aruba’s recently renovated departure terminal. I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. The place really looks nice, especially if I compare with how it used to be just a few years ago.

The terminal used to be stale and bleak, lacking any decent entertainment. In fact, other than restrooms, there wasn’t much else to do. The seats at the departure gates were made of cheap plastic and were mostly broken. Now, the seats are of much higher quality and are cushioned.

In the present, Aruba airport can rival any airport in the area, featuring many shops (including the popular Dutch cheese shop) and restaurants. There is even a bar with a view at the tarmac which offers enough distraction. What Aruba airport is still lacking is free Wi-Fi service, which in my opinion any modern airport should have.
