Last week the Aruba Airport reported encouraging numbers about last quarter’s activities. Although the airport still reported a minor drop in arrivals, the negative spiral has been turned around.

Having said that, airport officials are still very cautious with predictions for the remainder of the year, I couldn’t help but notice some bullish words from the president of Aruba’s airport operator Aruba Airport Authority (AAA).
Fact is that several airliners have announced an increase in capacity to Aruba, including Delta, JetBlue and US Airways. Recently new airlines started flying to Aruba as well such as Panamanian Copa Airlines. Perhaps we’ve reached bottom and are on our way up again.
