18 March National Holiday

18 Mar 2010 leave comment 91 words

Every year on March 18 Aruba celebrates National Day of Anthem and Flag. This days functions as a reminder of our national symbols and is celebrated with activities organized throughout the island. Most feature culture and music.

Other activities include bicycle trips (above picture), Harley Davidson motorcycle club trips, classic cars trips, model airplane competition and model sail boat competition ton mention a few.

How about our visitors? Unfortunately the celebrations are mostly focusedĀ  towards locals and visitors are ignored. Beware, this is a national holiday, which means that most shops are closed.
